Overview

Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Cash, the Cash Assistant supports the Revenue Team by helping ensure accurate, timely cash-related information sharing and responsive service to internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, clear communication, systems aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to inquiries received through Revenue inboxes from internal teams and external clients, ensuring timely follow-up and a high level of service.
  • Provide backup support for the cash applications group, including assistance with payment posting, research, reconciliation, and issue resolution as needed.
  • Prepare audit figures, supporting documentation, and monthly accruals for client receivables for internal and external purposes.
  • Assist with reporting, data validation, and process documentation to support accurate cash operations and management visibility.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve controls, and support the adoption of digital finance tools.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned to support the Revenue department and broader business needs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • Understanding of financial transactions, cash application processes, accounts receivable concepts, and basic internal controls.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, and data review; experience with billing, cash application, or workflow systems preferred.
  • Strong written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Superior customer-service mindset and ability to handle sensitive or time-critical inquiries with professionalism.
  • High degree of accuracy, discretion, and accountability when working with financial data and client information.

  • Flexible and able to prioritize effectively while responding quickly and positively to shifting demands, deadlines, and opportunities.
  • Ability to learn and use a variety of internal and external software applications, reporting tools, and workflow platforms.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, including virtual collaboration, shared inbox management, and independent follow-through
  • Ability to work additional hours as required by workload, particularly during Q4 and other peak periods such as month-end or quarter-end close.

 

Compensation and Total Rewards Package

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

 

  • New York: $57,400 - $83,200

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
