Overview

Reporting to the Revenue Project Manager, the Revenue Analyst is a critical role in the revenue cycle of the Firm by providing reporting to Revenue. The role will require financial business partnering, problem solving and analytical acumen, in addition to hands-on reporting and analysis. Over time, and with management support, a successful analyst will partner with the Senior Revenue Analyst to own the end-to-end cycle of data management, reporting, analysis, and presentation for revenue reporting.  The Revenue Analyst will be responsible for weekly reporting and analysis as well as partnering with the Senior Analyst on creating monthly PowerPoint slides for Revenue Management and the Financial Planning and Analysis team.  

Responsibilities

The scope of the role includes:

  • Design, build, and implement tools and process used to better identify Revenue metrics, reporting and projections.
  • Maintain already built reports and processes on a monthly basis.
  • Ability to think analytically and suggest improvements to processes.
  • Able to work in a self-directed manner, take ownership of work, and contribute to the success of the team.
  • Respond to requests from different finance departments regarding revenue related metrics.
  • Collaborate with support teams in enhancement of Revenue reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve, recurring and one-off reports and analyses for offices, client teams, and practices.
  • Point person for 3E & MicroStrategy reporting, building, and maintaining of reports.
  • Bring process and reporting improvement mindset to Revenue reporting.
  • Perform other assigned duties and projects necessary to support the Revenue Department.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in Business, Finance or Technical discipline. 
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • A minimum of two years experience in a professional services environment using time and billing software such as Elite or Aderant. Law firm or service industry preferred. 
  • Must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial data for non-finance audiences, including peers in other support roles.
  • Understanding of financial transactions and processes
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel: MicroStrategy and Tableau skills preferred.
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

 

Boston: $70,500 - 107,550

New York: $73,900-112,650

 

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
