Overview

The Marketing and Events Specialist is a member of the Events team, which is an important part of the global Marketing and Business Development (“MBD”) team. The Marketing and Events Specialist is responsible for and will act as the central advisor for external client gifting, giveaways and the charitable program for the Firm. They will report into the Manager of Events and Office Development who is based in Chicago.

 

The Marketing and Events Specialist will interact frequently with attorneys, including partners, and collaborate daily with business colleagues across the firm; along with managing outside vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage research and ordering process for company branded giveaways, client gifts and other firm-branded mediums. Ensure all products meet quality and branding standards
  • Source and establish preferred vendors in relation to all aspects of client gifting and giveaways. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all vendors and merchants
  • With the support of the Manager of Events and Office Development, negotiate supplier pricing, breakpoints and maintain up-to-date data on pricing arrangements
  • Liaise with colleagues who assist with client gifting, becoming the trusted advisor and primary point of contact providing best practice support and suggestions to members of the MBD team and Legal Executive Assistants
  • Work with Events team to ensure proper inventory of event and client gifting related supplies, materials and mediums
  • Maintain and advise on all useful information regarding seasons, trends, timing and logistics of client gifting/giveaways
  • Maintain the online company store and database of all client gifting/giveaways
  • Support and track firmwide charitable program submission/approval process and program budget

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of marketing, corporate merchandise or hospitality experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred
  • Excellent organization, communication and project management skills
  • Superior client service orientation
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
  • Multi-task, set priorities, and meet multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • Be creative and flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
  • Work effectively and efficiently as a team player, as well as independently
  • Have attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of responsibilities

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

 

New York: 73,900 - 112,650

 

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
