Overview

Reporting to the Deputy CIO, the IT Program Manager is responsible for the ongoing management, development, and execution of the firm’s IT project portfolio. This includes overseeing project timelines, budgets, and ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives. The IT Program Manager plays a pivotal role in promoting a culture of efficiency and technological advancement throughout the organization.

 

The scope of this position is firm-wide and requires a thorough understanding of all IT systems the firm uses, and how those systems integrate with business processes.

 

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage the entire IT project portfolio, including identifying shifting schedules, assessing impacts on current and future initiatives, and adjusting project timelines to prevent conflicts. Report to upper management on project statuses, risks, and necessary interventions.
  • Proactively identify potential delays or issues across projects and facilitate reprioritization discussions when necessary, involving key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the intake of all incoming IT projects and requests, help prioritize them, and coordinate regular prioritization meetings with upper management.
  • Coordinate and assist in producing all firmwide and officewide communications, including system maintenance and system upgrade announcements.
  • Assist in planning, executing, and reporting on the firm’s annual technology survey.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of IT documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and diagrams.
  • Serve as a technical liaison for Disaster Recovery (DR) as it relates to Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
  • Serve as project manager for select, high-priority projects within IT, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and monitoring project budgets to meet financial goals.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor of Science in a technology-related discipline or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in IT project management or a related role.
  • Experience in the legal industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems and their application in a business environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Organized, responsive, and highly thorough problem solver.

Compensation and Total Rewards Package

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

 

  • Boston: $142,500 - $228,050
  • New York: $149,300 - $238,900

Working Conditions

Typical office environment. Incumbent is expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. Periodic travel may be required.

 

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
