Overview

Support the Strategic Transactions Practice Group including the Intellectual Property Transactions and Licensing, Emerging Companies and Venture Capital, and Capital Markets teams in the tracking, organization and governance of the firm’s practice group experience management initiatives. The Experience Analyst will support efforts to identify, retain and share matter experience within the Practice Development Business Support Team and practice groups in support of our goal to provide excellent legal services to our clients. The Experience Analyst will also develop and maintain best practices for tracking and analyzing our internal experience and contribute to external ranking and go to market materials.

Responsibilities

 

  • Research and data collection to support tracking of experience
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to clarify experience details as needed.  
  • Proactively review data regularly for inconsistencies and gaps to be remediated, report on and troubleshoot issues related to experience tracking. 
  • Support the Practice Development Business Support Team(s) on ranking and award submissions, league table, etc. by identifying appropriate work experience to support each request.
  • Collaborate on best practices for using various work experience data with the Practice Development Business Support team.
  • Identify, retain and share attorney experience.
  • Ensure consistency and clarity of practice specific work data across the organization by maintaining the internal transactional and/or relevant experience or KM repositories. 
  • Interact with practitioners as needed for clarity on transactional details.
  • Extract deal data from relevant documents, as appropriate.
  • Distribute regular reports on experience to practitioners; develop internal trend data based on experience.
  • Responsible for maintaining relevant practice websites with current experience.  

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree. A minimum of two years work experience preferred.
  • A background in business or equivalent experience is desirable. 
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, work independently, and take initiative.
  • Ability to compile, review and determine logical conclusions or recommendations based on data and information which is varied in content and format.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with people at all levels.

Compensation and Total Rewards Package

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

 

Boston: $55,400 - $80,300

New York: $58,000 - $84,100

 

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
