Overview

The Litigation & Enforcement Practice Development Coordinator (PDC) will support the Practice Development team in the management of the Litigation & Enforcement practice group, aligned specialty groups, and initiatives in the core areas of practice strategy, financial management, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and marketing. The PDC will assist the Practice Development Director (PDD), Practice Development Manager (PDM), Practice Group Leaders (PGLs), and other attorneys and professional staff on the execution and implementation of practice group strategic priorities, business imperatives within the context of overall firm strategy, and contribute to the overall success of practice group performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist PDD and PDM with the execution of the Litigation & Enforcement practice group business development initiatives and strategic plan.
  • Develop legal ranking submissions with PDM and track submission information from year-to-year, including related research, matter collection, and maintenance of practice group data.
  • Maintain updates to all appropriate practice group intranets and knowledge management databases.
  • Support PDM with Litigation & Enforcement knowledge marketing and product initiatives.
  • Support Litigation & Enforcement, specialty group, and initiative meetings by preparing agendas, taking notes, and driving strategic follow up to meetings with PDM to optimize outcomes.
  • Work with PDM on lateral partner onboarding tasks, including creating contact lists and schedules, coordinating with representatives from Business Development, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Professional Development, Legal Services, and organizing the delivery of practice group and firm materials.
  • Support daily Litigation & Enforcement practice group, specialty group, and initiative projects.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree, with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.  
  • Law firm, professional services, or corporate experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems, work independently, and take initiative.
  • Ability to compile, review, and determine logical conclusions or recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative data and information which is varied in content and format.
  • Strong oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Ability to establish credibility with Ropes & Gray attorneys and professional staff, to bring to bear the right mix of confidence, tact, and persistence in working with the firm’s lawyers and professional staff.

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity. 

 

Boston: $55,400 - $80,300

 

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
