Join a Dynamic Team Driving Excellence in Legal Training:  Are you passionate about empowering legal professionals and shaping the future of attorney training and professional development?  Ropes & Gray is seeking a motivated Professional Development and Training Coordinator to play a pivotal role in coordinating and implementing innovative, high-impact learning experiences for our Litigation Department. 

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Be a Key Player: Serve as an integral member of our Litigation training team, working closely with the Senior Professional Development and Training Manager and leading junior team members.  Your leadership, collaboration, and insights will help drive the success of our training programs.
  • Design and Deliver Training: Coordinate and enhance our new associate camp for the Litigation Department, collaborating with training partners, the Litigation Training Committee, and the Attorney Development and PD&T Teams.  Leverage feedback and best practices to continuously improve program content and delivery.
  • Shape Professional Growth: Partner with internal and external experts to develop and implement engaging training for Litigation associates at all levels, including cutting-edge topics such as e-discovery, ethics, and GenAI.
  • Create Memorable Retreats: Organize and manage associate cohort retreats, ensuring seamless logistics and impactful content.  Work directly with presenters to integrate adult learning principles and maximize participant engagement.  Leverage feedback and best practices to continuously improve program content and delivery.
  • Mentor and Develop Talent: Recruit and supervise Northeastern interns, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.
  • Drive Strategic Initiatives: Support key committees and teams, coordinate focus groups, and oversee training attendance tracking and reporting to ensure continuous relevancy and improvement.
  • Expand Your Impact: Take on additional responsibilities as assigned, contributing to a culture of excellence and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency: You are skilled in Microsoft Office.  Familiarity with CE Manager a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of experience in a large law firm setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of legal practice areas and professional development best practices.

Compensation and Total Rewards Package

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

 

Boston: $63,700 - $92,350

New York: $66,700 - $96,700

 

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
