Overview

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join our Alternative Asset Opportunities (AAO) support team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, grow, and build a strong foundation in a professional services environment.

 

In this role, you’ll work closely with attorneys and the under the mentorship of the Administrative Support Practice Lead, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to a fast-paced legal setting. You’ll play an important part in keeping the team organized, supporting day-to-day operations, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with attorneys and team members across the organization
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, and transportation
  • Assist with preparing, formatting, and editing documents
  • Help manage time entry and ensure accuracy in accordance with client guidelines
  • Organize meetings and events, including scheduling and logistics
  • Process invoices and expense reports
  • Provide general administrative support (scanning, filing, document organization)
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Collaborate with colleagues on team projects and special initiatives
  • Learn and use tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook in a professional setting
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care

Compensation and Total Rewards Package

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

 

  • New York, NY ($75,800 - $109,950)

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
