Overview

The Senior HRIS Analyst is a subject matter expert in human resource management systems, with a particular emphasis on Workday HCM. This position supports the firm’s global HRIS infrastructure and collaborates closely with HR, Legal Talent, Finance, and IT departments to identify system requirements and deliver effective HRIS solutions. The Senior HRIS Analyst is responsible for implementing and maintaining functionality across the firm’s HRIS landscape, demonstrating proficiency in HRIS concepts, practices, and procedures.

 

A key focus of this role is the implementation and ongoing support of Workday HCM. The Senior HRIS Analyst will participate in Workday deployment initiatives, provide post-implementation support, and ensure optimal utilization of Workday features. Responsibilities include documenting business requirements, developing specifications, conducting thorough testing, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maintain sustainable HR technology, systems, and processes. These efforts are critical to delivering high-quality and efficient support and services to the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide system support and analysis, including functionality and design review, with a strong emphasis on Workday HCM.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical staff to ensure effective HRIS solutions.
  • Develop and document functional business requirements.
  • Lead configuration and setup of the firm’s HR systems, particularly Workday.
  • Lead testing efforts and validate system fixes and enhancements.
  • Serve as a liaison between HR and IT departments.
  • Identify and understand business processes, translating them into system functionality requirements.
  • Provide guidance and information on system functionality, especially within Workday.
  • Ensure all aspects of projects are completed prior to release, including business requirements, testing strategy, user documentation, and reporting needs.
  • Act as a data steward, ensuring accurate and well-defined data across all HR systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • 3–5 years of experience working with HRIS systems.
  • Experience with Workday HCM is required.
  • Experience with system implementations.
  • Ability to support multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on large-scale and multifaceted projects.
  • Proven ability to partner with process owners to define functional and system requirements.
  • Strong understanding of HR functions, processes, and strategies linked to business goals.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Compensation and Total Rewards Package

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.

 

Boston: $101,900 - $155,350

New York: $111,100 - $169,450

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
